Jordan invites Algeria to work in oil exploration in the Kingdom

Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported that Jordan invited Algeria to provide recent experience in the field of oil exploration and re-zoning exploratory in Saudi Arabia. The Director General of the Natural Resources Authority of Jordan, Dr. Maher Hijazin, when meeting with Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khalil invited "Oil companies operating in Algerian field to explore for oil in Jordan, especially the northern latitudes, open for exploration." He also called on the Jordanian official Algerian side to "train the Jordanian cadres in the fields of geophysics and reservoir studies, drilling and oil contracts." Hijazin reviewed for the Algerian delegation the investment opportunities in the field of exploration and mining of raw materials in Jordan, particularly oil and oil shale. The delegation, headed by Algerian Energy Minister Chakib Khalil, arrived in Amman yesterday in the five-day visit to see the number of institutions working in the energy sector and discuss with officials ways of cooperation between the two countries.m.e
