Iran intends to abandon the euro and the dollar in the accounts of oil imports

First Deputy of Iranian President Mohammad, Reza Rahimi, declared that Iran intends to abandon the dollar and the euro with its oil-importing countries for the benefit of the currency had not been defined yet. The website of the American newspaper (Upstream) quoted Rahimi as saying that his country has the freedom to choose the payment currency for exported oil and it is for Iran's interests, affirming that it was necessary to abandon the euro and the dollar. Thus, Iran is trying to mitigate the negative impact of the sanctions imposed on it by the Security Council. The European Union could impose additional sanctions at the end of this month against the central bank and other banks in Iran. The American News agency Bloomberg reported last week that Iran is in talks with the importers of Iranian oil to replace the currency of payment, but the final decision in this regard have not been issued. m.e
